  • Site Visit and Consultation

Understanding your needs and the potentially unique challenges of your property is the first and most important step in the submetering process. Over the years, Jet Utilities has become an expert in submeter conversion and installation. We understand that converting to a submetered billing method can seem like a complex and daunting task. Thankfully, we provide the tools, knowledge, and experience needed to streamline the project.

  • Project Management and Tenant Relations

Attention to detail, good communication, and a well-organized plan will help your tenants make a smooth transition from paying for utilities as part of their rent to paying for what they actually use. As a landlord, you understand that change can cause confusion and sometimes fear of the unknown. Jet Utilities can meet with you and your tenants in an open forum to answer questions, explain the technology and the installation process, as well as set expectations for the project.

  • Installation and System Setup

A typical installation takes between 3-6 weeks depending on site conditions and access. During the pre-installation phase, we gather all the data necessary for billing your tenants and assist you in sending the required notices. We even provide notice templates to make it easy to stay within the guidelines for your specific state.

  • Tenant Billing and Payments

There are multiple ways to bill your tenants. If you already have a system in place, we can simply provide you with the usage data when you need it every month. However, many parks prefer to have us manage the entire billing and collections process. If you choose this option, paper statements are prepared and mailed to each tenant every month on your behalf. Our online portal also makes it easy for tenants to view and pay their bill online.

  • Maintenance

We use the highest quality equipment and materials with long term warranties. However, much like any system installed in your community, the submeters and AMR system require some maintenance and upkeep. As a distributor, we manage all warranty exchanges and can perform all service work so you don’t have to train your staff. Ask us about our fully managed service that covers all aspects of submetering and utility management.

  • Utility Management

A key benefit that sets Jet Utilities apart from other RBC companies is our long term involvement with your utility system and focus on cost recovery. As part of our service, we monitor every meter for leak alerts, non-advancing/connection errors, and battery levels. This ensures that we have the most accurate data with which to bill your tenants. In addition, we can provide master meter bill audits and recapture percentages to ensure that there are no leaks or malfunctions in the park infrastructure that are costing you money.
